‍Thank you for another wonderful and robust meeting. And a big thank you to all of our amazing presenters! As a reminder, the next SNOAC meeting will be Thursday, November 5th from 10am-12pm. As with previous meetings, this meeting will be hybrid and you can attend in-person at Roseman University (3755 Breakthrough Way, Classroom 200, Las Vegas, NV 89135) or virtually via Zoom.   • Behavioral Health Crisis Response Services Survey

    • About: PACT Coalition along with Partnership Douglas County are seeking Nevada community members to complete a survey on behavioral health crisis response services, including 988 and Mobile Crisis Teams (MCTs). This survey aims to gather community perspectives and personal experiences with crisis response services in Clark County and across Nevada. Please note that:

      • Responses are anonymous.

      • Participation is voluntary.

      • The survey takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete.

      • The survey closes on July 30, 2026.

  • Advisory Committee for a Resilient Nevada (ACRN) Biennial Report

    • About: Explore Nevada's latest opioid settlement investments, statewide initiatives, and recommendations to strengthen prevention, treatment, recovery, data, and workforce capacity. The report highlights funding priorities, progress to date, and strategies to reduce substance use and overdose while building a more resilient Nevada.

  • The NOCE Dose: The Opioid Crisis Unplugged Season 3

    • About: Season three of The NOCE Dose is about the people behind the work—and what it costs to keep showing up. Hosted by Bianca D. McCall, Help the Helper creates space for honest conversations with those carrying the weight of care: clinicians, peers, first responders, and community leaders across Nevada. Together, we explore the realities of burnout, secondary trauma, and the quiet ways helpers lose themselves in the work. This season reminds us that we can’t hide our humanness—and we were never meant to carry everything alone. Through powerful stories and practical insight, listeners are invited to reflect, reconnect, and redefine what sustainable care truly looks like.

  • LIMA Community Resource Sharing Meeting

  • 2026 Narcan at Night

    • Date: Saturday, September 12th from 4pm-10pm

    • About: Narcan at Night is a volunteer-led community event dedicated to overdose prevention, education, and outreach. What began as a small local initiative has grown into a nationally recognized model that empowers everyday people to take action and save lives. On September 12th, volunteers from across Southern Nevada will come together with one goal: To educate thousands of community members while distributing 15,000 overdose response kits throughout Las Vegas. Through education, outreach, and connection, we can help reduce overdose deaths and expand access to life-saving resources.

  • The Introduction to the Prevention Core Competencies for Prevention Professionals

    • Date: July 21st-July 23rd from 8:30a-4:30p

    • About: Introduction to the Prevention Core Competencies for Prevention Professionals is a three-day, in-person training designed for early- and mid-career prevention professionals. The course introduces the foundations of substance use prevention science and strengthens participants' knowledge and skills in key areas such as prevention science, community organization, needs and resource assessment, and evidence-based interventions. It also explores the Prevention Core Competencies, which provide a framework for professional development, workforce training, and effective prevention practice. The curriculum is grounded in evidence-based adult learning principles and complements existing prevention training programs, including SAPST.

  • Listening Session: The Science of Sweat and Sobriety: Integrating Physical Wellness into Behavioral Health

  • SPF Application for Prevention Success Training

    • About: SPF Application for Prevention Success Training is a four-day foundational training that prepares prevention professionals to implement evidence-based, community-driven substance use prevention strategies using SAMHSA's Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF). Participants will build practical skills in prevention planning, needs assessment, risk and protective factors, implementation, and evaluation to strengthen prevention efforts in their communities.

  • Overdose Response with Naloxone - Training of Trainers

    • Date: September 17th from 1p-4p

    • Where: Southern Nevada Health District (280 S Decatur Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89107)

    • Cost: Free!

    • About: This class is open to trainers who wish to become educated with current information about the illicit drug supply in our community and the current best practices for reversing overdoses in order to train others on the subject matter. At the end of this training, you should be equipped with the knowledge and tools to train others in overdose response with naloxone, understand opioids and their effects, and educate others on common myths regarding drug overdose and fentanyl. Prerequisite work is required and will be sent by email. This training is grant funded and provided at no-cost.

  • SAFETalk Workshop

    • Date: September 23rd from 8:15a-12p

    • About: At a Living Works safeTALK workshop, you'll learn how to prevent suicide by recognizing signs, engaging someone, and connecting them to an intervention resource for further support. A supportive trainer will guide you through a 3.5-hour in-person course, and a community resource will be on hand to support your safety and comfort.

  • Better Care in the Field: Wound Care for People Who Use Drugs

    • Date: October 14th from 1p-2:30p

    • Where: Southern Nevada Health District (280 S Decatur Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89107)

    • Cost: Free

    • About: In this workshop, attendees will learn best practices for wound care, including which wounds can be treated by the client and when to seek medical help. They will also learn to identify common wounds seen among people who use drugs. Finally, prevention is the best medicine so attendees will learn techniques and strategies they can share with clients to reduce their likelihood of wounds.
