I hope you all have been well! As a reminder, our next meeting is Thursday, November 6th at 10am and will be available in a hybrid format (virtual and in person). Virtually you can access the meeting via Zoom or in-person at Roseman University (1 Breakthrough Way, The Auditorium, Las Vegas, NV 89135). Community Events and Information:

  • Save a Life Day

    • Date: Thursday, September 25th all day

    • Location: Various locations around the valley

    • Cost: Free

    • About: On Sep 25th, 2025, communities across the country to are powering up to host the largest day of naloxone distribution to date. Join agencies here in Southern Nevada in distributing naloxone to members of our community to end overdose deaths.

  • 2025 Mobilize Recovery: Campus Surge

    • Date: Friday, September 26, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM

    • Location: UNLV (4505 S Maryland Pkwy. Las Vegas, NV 89154)

    • Cost: Free, but space is limited so please register at the link below

    • About: Mobilize Recovery is bringing the Campus Surge 2025 initiative to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas as part of a nationwide effort to address the challenges of substance use and mental health among college students. This event that will be held in the Student Union (Ballroom A), aims to raise awareness, provide resources, and empower students to become advocates for recovery within their communities. There will be special guests, panel discussions, free food, and more!

  • Narcan at Night

    • Date: Saturday, September 27th at 5pm

    • Location: Las Vegas, NV (The Strip and surrounding area)

    • About: Narcan at Night is more than just an event—it's a movement to save lives and uplift the community. Join us on Saturday, September 27th at 5:00 PM as we hit the Las Vegas Strip, Downtown Las Vegas and the surrounding areas to distribute free overdose prevention and response kits. This is one of the largest Narcan distribution events in the country, and you can be part of it. Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or completely new to harm reduction work, your time and energy can make a real difference. You'll help educate people on how to respond in an overdose situation—because you never know when you might be the one who can save a life. Expect an evening that’s energizing, inspiring, and surprisingly fun. We believe doing good should feel good, too. You'll meet amazing people, walk the iconic Strip with purpose, and leave knowing you helped change lives—maybe even save them.

  • Vogue Recovery Center Spa Family Weekend

  • SNOAC Holiday Gathering

    • Date: Thursday, December 4th from 10a-12p

    • Location: The Center (401 S Maryland Pkwy, Las Vegas, NV 89101)

      • Due to the interactivity of the gathering, there will not be a virtual option to attend. 

    • Cost: Free

    • About: You have been invited to attend the Southern Nevada Opioid Advisory Council (SNOAC) Planning Meeting and Winter Gathering! At this meeting there will be snacks and warm drinks as you network with your fellow attendees and voice your opinions on what you feel should be the SNOAC priorities in 2026! This is a flexible gathering and you are welcome to come anytime between 10 and 12 stay for as long as you would like in the meeting- whether that is 10 minutes or the full 2 hours. We hope to see you there!

  • AATOD 2025 Conference: The Evolving Field of Opioid Treatment

    • About: The 2025 American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence, Inc. (AATOD) Conference will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, October 4-8, 2025. The 2025 conference theme is “The Evolving Field of Opioid Treatment. Our intent is to educate and promote acceptance and integration of MAT options by patients, families, clinicians, the medical system, judicial systems, government, policymakers, social service administrations, and the general public. We will disseminate innovative, evidence-based initiatives and treatment techniques to better serve patients and providers, improve program development and administration, promote integration across the continuum of care, and enhance patient outcomes to assist communities in developing an effective response to this crisis.
